Registered Massage Therapy Massage therapy has been used for centuries in both Western and Eastern
cultures. Massage therapy uses basic mechanical hand movements to help
relieve pain, reduce stress and promote healing by improving circulation,
deepening relaxation and providing an increased sense of physical awareness
and emotional well being. It is effective in controlling chronic or acute
pain, reducing stress and creating a sense of relaxation and well being.
Therapeutic massage is used to help obtain relief from many specific problems,
including low back pain, migraine and muscle tension headaches, whiplash,
and neck and shoulder tension to name a few.
Naturopathic Healing Marie Matheson is a Naturopathic Doctor Candidate practicing at the Hampton Wellness Centre. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ottawa and received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine diploma from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver, BC in 2005.
She treats a wide array of health concerns from infant and children’s health to seniors’ concerns. Her treatment modalities include nutrition, homeopathy, herbal medicine, and biotherapeutic drainage therapies offering a complete system of analysis and care. She believes in the power of preventative medicine and the importance of uncovering the root cause of illness. Her holistic methods guide and empower her patients on their journey to optimal health. Marie Matheson works with each patient to create an individualized treatment protocol that is tailored to meet their specific needs.
